Even though technically this is a revamp line, it's not owned by Hasbro, The New Super Joe Unlimited action figure line is being produced by White Elephant Toyz, the same company that has the Retro Strike Force Alpha line. I've collected 70's lines including the G.I.JOE Adventure Team, but Super Joe always got passed over, Now thanks to White Elephant Toyz, Super Joe gets a revamp, with some very cool retro influences, and I get it if this line still gets passed over by many here, Separately Power Comics
(in the comics section here on the forum) is producing a Super Joe Comic series. And while these two share a name, just like the 80's A Real American Hero cartoon did with the A Real American Hero Comic, the two Super Joe offerings have two separate stories to them, but both are paying homage to the classic 77-78 series in their own ways. If you haven't checked out the Super Joe Unlimited offerings here's the link to the figure line. https://www.whiteelephanttoyz.com/

I don’t collect mego type stuff as it was a generation before my time, but I do enjoy looking at all of the cool designs these independent toy makers are doing. If not for limits on space and money, I could see myself buying some of these. I like the zombie and monster type stuff. Back when white elephant toys did that collaboration with Red Laser on that Forca FERA set, I bought it and it’s still one of my favorite o ring sets from red laser. It’s amazing the options that fans of 70’s and 80’s toys have now. We don’t have to wait on some big company to release stuff like this. Now, there’s tons of fan toy makers that will do it themselves.

I didn't misread anything, Strike Force Alpha was done as a Kickstarter and Jason has kept all the backers up to date with its progress.
You said that they were chasing down someones idea, when that's not even the case, White Elephant has several brands under its banner, Now if you're not into Super Joe that's fine, Hasbro created and abandoned that, but White Elephant toyz has taken up the brand and is actually doing something with it, I don't understand your negativity on the matter, This is a win for any fan of the original brand, and should be viewed as such.

Jason W. Schiermeyer & and Matt LeCroy are behind Strike Force Alpha, its write-up goes over all the particulars of its Kickstarter, and if anyone else is curious about that line of products, here is its official website.
https://strikeforcealpha.com/ As for Super Joe Unlimited, Jason has in development several 1:18 Super Joe characters as well. Including Super Joe, the Shield, and more. For the vintage fans, the updated S Type construction on the 1:9 scale line is a lot sturdier than the classic Hasbro banded bodies, but they look great side by side.

Here's a little update on the upcoming 1:18 Super Joe *Now The 1:18 line is still about a year or so out, but this gives a little bit of a glance on the look and that these will be compatible with other similar O-Ring styled figures.
