I saw that Colonel Quaritch figure at a Target today. Honestly, I was pretty impressed with what I saw, but $24.99 is kind of steep for a figure from a franchise I actively dislike, and it sounds like he leaves a bit to be desired from a functional perspective. But he does look pretty damn cool, though.
In any event, are those 4" figures really supposed to be in scale with those ~7" Na'vi? I know the Na'vi are supposed to be tall, but that really throws me for a loop; I honestly thought they were from different scale assortments. Mattel's line didn't have anywhere near that much height disparity between the humans and the Na'vi, though Mattel's line did trend toward the shorter end of the scale, so maybe I shouldn't take Mattel's figures' relative sizes as gospel.

The 4 inchers are indeed in scale with the 7 inch navis.
https://old.reddit.com/r/Avatar/comm...els_dont_help/ That said, I'm not thrilled with Quaritch's 25 dollar price tag but Hasbro is literally at an overpriced 17 bucks a single figure for future releases. At this rate, Jazwares and Mattel will be the only guys in the mainstream 3.75 game until Lanard releases its Wild Willies on the world. |

Despite the ass-fugliest arms in 18th since Dagobah Luke's, I think Quaritch is worth the price since he does have so many more POA than a typical 18th as well as so many more accessory bits. If only the arms weren't so goddamned ugly and the hands didn't fall off easier than Hiya's he'd be very-arguably the best retail-sold 18th figure ever made.

Wow. Given Quaritch is a bit over 4", going by the picture, those Na'vi look like they are closer to 8 or even 9 inches tall; I thought they were meant to scale with a usual 7" McFarlane figure or maybe against more common 6" figures. How tall are they supposed to be in the movies?
Meaning the Average Navi is shorter than double the height of the Average 5 foot 5 inch Woman and much shorter than double the height of the average 5 foot 7 inch man. Blue people pretty tall man. I don't know what Mattel was tripping with Human Sized Navi Figures except to keep costs down. |

I can't find any pics comparing the toys or 'actors' but Stephen Lang is only 5'10.5" and shouldn't come up any higher than a Navi elbow, fwiw.

Gracias for that. Yeah, that's definitely not matching up right. He's shorter than Zoe in the reddit pic; but that's not scaled quite right either since she's officially 5'7" but those heels are much more than 2". Todd's inability to scale properly continues...
