Anyone buying these? I picked 'em up, and recommend them for anyone who dug the line back in the day. The Batwing is a piece of shit though. The canopy on mine broke right out of the box and it appears to be a common problem. When was the last time you had a hinge break on a toy? I mean, that's basic shit for a toy company. And they raised the price on it $10, so it's not even a good deal anymore. Should've known it'd be shit though, McFarlane has never been a toy company that makes actual toys. All that said, the Supermobile hasn't broken yet and is cool as fuck, and the figures are all sturdy and full of nostalgia awesomeness. Even that stupid Batman Who Laughs is a pretty cool figure. Darkseid is probably my favorite though.

I just started a thread about these a few days ago.
As a kid who absolutely adored the Super Powers Collection growing up, I am excited to see where the line goes. So far, Ive been a little disappointed with all the modern takes on the characters. I hope Todd is able to deliver on what I think most fans really want, and that's continuation of the 80s line with characters we never got in their classic, Bronze Age looks. The vehicles are stellar so far. That Supermobile is all kinds of retro cheese, and I am here for it. I have to disagree with your assessment of the Batwing. Granted, mine didn't break (yet, anyway), but that thing feels like it came straight out of 1986. Vehicles for under $30 in this day and age are few and far between, and these are really well done for what they are. The box art is perfection! |

What's the subject line of the other Super Powers thread I didn't see?
I bought 3 of the first 4 figures, no vehicles. I want the classic cartoon looks in normal proportions. The plastic thing piercing the capes is ill advised for sure. Now gotta pretend bad guys tried to shoot Batman and Superman in the junk. Of the originals, I think I only had maybe 3 Super Powers. Found one not long ago. No idea where the other two are. Didn't care for the squeeze the legs together action feature. Hoping for Shazam, Martian Manhunter, Hal Jordan, normal Darkseid, Guy Gardner, white guy Blue Beetle, Dr. Fate. I think I saw someone post the Flash is too big. |

I thought I got lucky with the Batwing too, but then it broke on the third opening. Be careful with yours...even though I was super careful and seemingly didn't do anything to cause it to break. I disagree on the pricing. The Batwing is a nice retro-feel vehicle, and worth it at $20, but it's too small for $30, especially when that's the same price for the larger Supermobile. And with the breakage problem, it's not even worth $5. Piece o' shit. Toys shouldn't break like that. Quote:
