i spent a lot of effort in 2013 finding that vehicle on the right. i think my dad found it on the side of the road somewhere. that was my superpowers batman's batmobile until i got one for my birthday. it still got a ton of use before being lost.
in my search trying to get a replacement- i found out that they made a few different versions! and the first replacement wasnt the one i had! so, 30 bucks more later, i have the right one. and i sleep better for it. i tried to get the jet, the tank and i think there's a boat. i decided since i didnt have them when i was a kid; i didnt need to put the cost of a tank of gas into replacing each of them. "gay toys" is definitely not an easy ebay search to have on a work pc. "processed plastics" also works.

lol Man, it's crazy to think there was a time when toy companies were not only able to create dozens of action figure lines, but support them with animation and other media too. The market was so large they could justify spending millions upfront on unproven ideas. Then again, by the time the nineties were half-over, a buncha toy companies were either gonzo or in the process of it. Mego, Remco, Coleco, Galoob, Kenner, LJN... The entire decade of the 80s was one big bubble fixin' to burst.

I'm trying to recall, were these a subset of the Gobots, or were they their own thing. I seem to remember MOTU had the Meteorbs around this time too.

After looking at some of the pictures of these things I dont remember them being so lanky. I guess though as a kid if you see something like this it looks like a million bucks. I wish sometimes computers and such did not have such a big push these days. I got two kids and I wish they could experience some of the stuff I did as a kid. The toy aisles are crap. Nothing lingers anymore except maybe wwe and star wars. Its all licensed toys now. You never see large groups of kids riding bikes down the street then come around again and those bikes are in a yard cause the kids are off playing. Miss those days.

They were a subset of Gobots, The Rock Lords were imported from Bandai's Machine Robo "Ganseki Chōjin" sub-line.

Of all the 80s toy lines, I think this one is the one my dad made fun of the most. "How do you not notice a boulder sized chunk of gold?" How did that giant rock get in the parking lot?" Needless to say the only way I got any was in lots from garage sales.
