My opinion has always been the middle seam line of the thighs is the correct marker for width. As long as the side of the head lines up with those, (ears can go a little past) I think it looks right, with acceptance for helmets of course.

So these four look good to me, if anything Mortifero might be a little small for a masked head. Definitely worth watching some of the other figures closely though.

Footloose, Hawk v2, Budo, and Ripcord world be my examples for ideal head sizes (without helmets or hats sculpted on).
