Subject says it. Any prognostication on scale, etc? I'm betting it'll be 6" & then some dicked-up kid's line in a scale that doesn't jive with anything else. I'd actually be ok with no 1:18 stuff, as I really don't want to still be buying toys in a year's time.

Kinda hoping they do the same fun bit as Kingdom figures.
Each one comes with an artifact in a crate. Although mail-in offers would be fun too. |

Ideally it would be like the 2008 line: 1:18 scale, artifacts pack-ins, induvidual movie themed waves/assortments, vehicles & playsets... only with better articulation & sculpting. If they did that, I'd have to buy it.

Is it a catch-all line? I doubt it's for that movie that's in development hell.

i remember being fairly disappointed with the 2008 line. the artifacts were "neat" but the rest wasnt up to what hasbro was releasing for their other lines.
i'll probably skip out on this indy movie all together. it stopped after last crusade. just like terminator stopped before john conner went bad in genesys and star wars stopped after force awakens. indy got the thing in last crusade, john conner's still a good guy and alive, and the force awakened. we're all good here. |

I guess it's a catch-all to coincide with the new flick's release. Last I heard, Mangold had the project on track. Turns out it was Spielberg fucking things up the most simply because deep down he didn't really want to do another one, but couldn't quite acknowlege/admit that even to himself.

Spielberg was supposed to be the director, only he wasn't really doing much on the project. With a director as famed and respected as Spielberg, studio execs and producers tend to follow their lead. I mean, shit, the dude knows what he's doing, so you let him do it. But it was basically a lot of waiting for Spielberg to take control and guide the project, which I guess didn't happen in a real way, so decisions on the script and casting and logistics weren't being made. Makes sense. He was busy with West Side Story and let things ride until he finally had to admit his heart wasn't in it and he was holding up the process. Now that they have a director who's passionate about it, decisions are being made and shit is happening. Spielberg is still a producer on the project, he just didn't really want to make another "Raiders picture," as he calls it. I don't think he really wanted to do KOTCS either.
