Does anyone know if you can return a Marvel Universe figure to Wal-Mart or Target if you ordered it from an on-line dealer. I ordered some figures from BBTS and one of them looks as if when I remove it from the package its arm will fall off. Can I take it back to a retailer and exchange it even though I didn't buy it from there or will their computers reject it. By the way it is from wave 5 too so what if the store doesn't have that wave in yet? Will they still take it even if it is newer than the products they are currently stocking. Thanks.

If Walmart carried that wave you will have no problem taking it back.
They will only give you store credit without a reciept. I'm pretty sure it's the same way at Target, but they will only take back returns under $20 without a reciept.

SKU's are universal, so there is no reason why a store would reject it if they carry the item.
Target uses a generic DCPI system, which lumps all product into the same number. so, if you bought a figure at Target, you can return any figure with the same DCPI to Target with that receipt. so, if you have a receipt, return it to Target. TRU and Wal Mart use individual UPC numbers for each figure, so you would have to return the exact same figure using a receipt. without a receipt, you can return to Target or Wal Mart for store credit. TRU no longer accepts returns without a receipt. the bigger question is, though, why not just return it to BBTS and cut out the scheming? |

Gunslingercbr how am I trying to scheme anyone. It is a Hasbro product not a BBTS product. It makes perfect sense to go to a Target 10 minutes from my house and return a faulty product that Target can send back to Hasbro instead of me waiting to ship it back and them ship me another one. I figured I would receive that response from someone, but I'm not cheating anyone on anything thanks for answering my question just save taking a shot next time.

it is your problem, and BBTS. the moment you involve an irrelevant third party to make it easier for yourself, you are scheming instead of accepting responsibility for the decision you made to buy from BBTS. Target buys the figure from Hasbro. you buy from Target. whether the product is a Hasbro product is irrelevant. |

Jesus man, you must live your life like a saint to complain about something as little as $3.99 + tax.

It's not the amount, it's the principle.
That's like telling a kid that shoplifts that it's okay cause it was just a stick of gum and doesn't cost that much. Stealing is still stealing, regardless of amount involved. In this case, it's "stealing" from Target because it's asking them to pony up the money for something they didn't order in the first place. Also, it's transfering the defective product to someone else. Chances are, since it's not obviously broken, that they will return it to the shelves and someone else will buy the defective figure.
