You misread that post. Ace did the same thing when Ramen made the Hell Charger after the HasLab failed. There weren't enough orders for Hasbro to do the Engine of Vengeance, but more than enough bought into the HasLab that Ace thought doing one could be profitable for RamenToys. Same situation here. He realizes there's a market for it and sees opportunity. He's simply making a product to fill the gap in the market for those who missed out on or got ripped off by the KickStarter. He has no intention of fullfilment for this KickStarter, nor does he have any obligation to. He's not affiliated with it.

Ace's point is simple: If you still want a 1:18 Airwolf, buy his.
