I was at my grandmother's this past weekend and came across some of me and my two brothers old toys at her house. I was going through them with my son and came across our die cast jets. After 25-30 years they were still intact for the most part. It was cool to see them after forgetting about them for years and my son took a few home - F-16, F-14 and F-15.
Did anyone else collect any thing from this line? I am trying to find something new to collect and feel that this line crosses off my requirements - military based, toys I had during childhood and durable. I may end up going down this rabbit hole - there seems to be a decent amount of product on ebay still MIB/MISC. |

I had a lot of them as a kid. Great toy line. Might have to get a couple for nostalgia one day.

Yeah I can’t remember them being popular. I always loved planes though so I remember getting some of them. The 80’s/‘90’s really were the golden age of toys. So much cool stuff to choose from back then.

Oh yes, I adored these.
Ertl also kept putting them out in various forms for several years, leading to there being a large selection on the secondary market (and planes that weren't around when we were kids in the 80's like the F-22). |

Damn, this is a blast from the past. I had the F-14, F-15, F-16, and A-10 as a kid. I loved them so much, but especially the A-10. I'll have to check the attic storage in my parents' house next time I visit. I think they might still be packed up there.

And after a quick search on the Google, I definitely had the UH-1 Huey and Mi-24 Hind also.
