There's a lot I've grown to hate about toy collecting, but near the top of the list right now are all these fucking emails! 50 of them this morning alone is just goddamned ridiculous. I mean, holy fuckin' hell! Even zombie-ass Toys R Us is suddenly sending me emails again! Worst of all, I gotta open each one to unsubscribe. I guess I should just check them all and block 'em.

So, I had to take a security course online after my school district was hacked. Didn’t think I’d learn anything new, but was surprised to learn something about unsubscribing. I thought that was the thing to do, but they said ONLY unsubscribe if you FOR SURE subscribed to that website. If you didn’t, do NOT use the unsubscribe, as all it does is alert the hacker/sham sites that your email is active, leading to more hack attempts. They recommend ONLY using the “move to junk” option and blocking sender (I think they mean texts in reference to blocking, yeah? I don’t see block sender options on email).

That one surprised me; just passing on the tip.
