I'm currently developing a new action figure line that uses the vintage style O-Ring design made popular by MEGO and Hasbro in the 70's and 80's. The first figure I'll be testing the waters with is the RIOT Commando character from Eagle Force. Pictured below is the factory prototype which I'm waiting to receive for approval. If approved, the next step will be the tooling phase.

These most likely won't be available until the second quarter of next year after the Chinese New Year holiday. The plan for now is to offer preorders through BBTS and the ZICA Toys online store. An SRP hasn't been determined yet but there will be a troop builder discount option available for buying multiple figures.

They look great! Please keep us updated. Can you comment on any differences between these figures and ARAH Joes? Materials used? Stuff like that

1) Two materials will be used ABS and PVC. PVC will be used on the arms and some of the heads. 2) The heads are on a ball joint and separate from the neck for added articulation. 3) The hands are separate pieces from the forearms and can be rotated, plus they'll be cast in a flexible PVC to hold weapons better. 4) Metal screws, rubber O-rings and metal T-bars will still be used but metal rivets have been eliminated. |
