All I ever wanted was a 4” Miles Mayhem. Releasing Matt Trakker in the 25th Ann lineup was the biggest tease of 2008. Here we are 12 years later and still no Miles. You suck Hasbro.🙁

Yeah, just prefer the 1:18. Can’t get behind other scales too much.

Unfortunately, not all of us are as gifted as the majority of the customizers out there.

A 4” mask line would be nice.

It's an expensive line to collect new or loose. I'd say 10-15 years ago, the line was not as expensive to collect, but still pricey for the split-seconds pieces and laser command. But if you're gonna collect it, you'll probably want to start now before that live-action film happens and skyrockets the aftermarket prices and dries up the pool of available product.
I'd suggest first going through Albert Penello's website and familiarizing yourself with all the toy variations first before deciding what to collect of the line: Welcome to the KENNER M.A.S.K. page at Albert Penello.com! MattTrakker.com is also another fantastic resource for M.A.S.K.: https://www.mtrakker.com/ Then decide if you're going all-in with the variants, or just collecting certain ones from the line. Then there's also Vor-Tech (https://www.google.com/search?client...sclient=psy-ab), which was a 1996 spiritual successor to M.A.S.K. by Kenner. It had a cartoon as well, but it only lasted for 1 year and 1 toy line release. Most of the line's toys found there way to clearance. |

Man, this thread has got me looking into MASK again. It was one of the few lines that took my eye of GI Joe temporarily.

Yea the MASK stuff is really cool. I think the Switchblade is one of the coolest non-Joe toys ever made. I just want to get a complete switchblade, complete condor and complete Thunderhawk - those are the three vehicles I remember having as a young kid.

I have my eye on a Condor and Firefly on ebay and I'm also looking hard at an Outlaw. I didn't notice this when I was a kid but a lot of these vehicles have chrome on them which doesn't hold up over the years, which is kind of a bummer. Let me know how you score. |

I had the Condor, Thunderhawk, Iguana, Firefly, and the Rhino as a kid. I got the Rhino for my birthday and my older brother fired the missile into my birthday cake - it was awesome!

I'm still in the mental debate phase. I need to get my joe stuff organized, probably need to buy another shelving unit for all my recent acquisitions and then prepare myself mentally to shutdown my vintage joe collecting for awhile. Once that is all done I will start tracking down the MASK stuff I want. I do have an incomplete Switchblade at my Grandma's house so I might just end up restoring that - lots of memories of jamming a joe figure into that thing when I was a kid.
How are the prices looking?? I just got an offer for the Outlaw I was looking at and jumped on it. $149.67 with shipping and tax is pretty good deal for the condition of the toy and the fact that it is complete. |
