My only issue with modern joe was that the women were usually just as big as the men with funky proportions to look feminine.
Though the greatness of the line(particularly selection and ease of assembly) made it possible to kitbash something a bit better Wish it was so easy for other lines in the scale. |

True 3.75'' figures built like ME figures would have been acceptable to me.
The construction was less of an issue than the scale (i didn't really like the early mid torso swivel but i'd happily embrace it on a 3.75'' figure if that is what it took to get figures at that height). |

Here we see a sample RAH Joe and its 25A era counterpart. In the first pic I've raised the RAH Annihilator up to equalize them across the shoulders to show how the 25A designers used the same height proportions of the RAH figures and simply added .25" of height by inserting the second knee hinge atop the calf - instead of crafting an all-new 4.00 buck that was properly proportioned. Slimming the pieces overall to enhance the sculpting detail enabled by increased materials technology in the meantime isn't the same as proper proportioning, imho. This fact has been the source of a LOT of poorly-proportioned 18th-scale figures to follow since that first 25A box set hit and detonated across the community. Female figures suffered particularly by choosing to keep them at the same raw 4.00: height as the dudes and stretch their height proportions even worse. This Zica buck would be a fantastic choice for a return to 3.75 as a normal-dude standard, imho. |

The o-rings look rather "squished" down. The proportions on the modern ones look better.
