2019 Toy Hauls

So I ended up getting the entire Hasbro Stargate line. They reused a few items from GI Joe like modified weapons and backpacks and most notably the AWE Striker.

You can see they modified the AWE to make it a single seater and moved the steering wheel to the center of the console.

The Mastadge could easily be used in a Star Wars universe. It has yarn for hair.

The Winged Glider is fantastic, very detailed... and if you wanted a custom Destro's Despoiler for the 25th or POC Destro... this would be perfect.

The figures are bulky, but sculpted beautifully. The alien headdresses are gorgeous.

I'm actually very surprised Hasbro never made a Stargate toy for this line.

My brother had a few of those figures. We thought the eye slits in the headdresses were annoying, but we liked the figures otherwise and got a bit of a chuckle out of them re-using some Joe pieces. I think we still have the figures in storage somewhere; I hope to keep them if we find them. The figures were closer to the Kenner-standard 4.5'', correct? I recollect them being too big to match vintage Joes, but don't remember if we compared their size to other contemporary toylines (Kenner, Sgt. Savage, or otherwise).

Also, I almost kind of wish they re-used the modified AWE Striker for the modern-era line. You can barely fit modern-era figures even into the modern-era versions, so the fact that the Stargate version is a single-seater doesn't seem like a terrible trade-off.

A $35 antique mall find, only had to repair one of the flags. It was complete and the original stickers are in really good shape. Overall, a very lucky catch!
