Looking at some of these designs, Hasbro really dropped a ball not doing something like this with GI Joe. Some of these guys could be Joes. So it's clearly not the character designs that aren't taking off.

It’s that there’s no media reason for kids or collectors to care about or want Joe characters. If Hasbro wanted to, they could have had a game just like Fortnite or Battlefield but with Joe characters that could drive sales of figures. Toy companies (Mostly Hasbro and Mattel) need to stop looking down their noses at video game franchises. I know Mattel has (had?) Halo, but it seems like they don’t put a ton of effort into it. Video games have overtaken cartoons as the avenue to deliver characters to kids and teens. They are still interested in owning plastic versions of characters they love, it’s just up to companies to start making them. This line in particular is going to show how true that is.

Was thinking of going to look for some of these in my lunch hour tomorrow, but have decided not to. The designs don't particularly grab me and I'd rather the kids who are into the game get the figures than going in my parts bin. If they're in stock after Christmas, I may try and buy a few, but going to pass for now.

I’m loving these and think is very similar to what Joe should have tried. An Adventure Team game like Fortnite with Joe characters. But I guess that’s sailed. Targets near me are selling out. I’ve not double checked Wal Mart but they seemed to go more in on this line and have more stock.

Even if Hasbro couldn't get it together to get a video game out of GI Joe, why aren't they doing a 1:18 scale line for some popular video game? I mean Jazwares got this license, Hasbro would blow away the competition if they did Call of Duty figures in 1:18 and that'd scratch a major itch for Joe collectors at the same time. Instead it's like they're moping around doing nothing giving away the entire category.

Bubbavader (and Jr) needs that builder set!

The feminization of Hasbro keeps us from having good action adventure boy (unisex even) toys. Looks like we will have look elsewhere.
