That's the only new ones I saw at my target today.

Did go down the street to Ross and found some great Fortnite deals, Got AIM for $5.99; Dark Bomber and Frostbite were on clearance for $0.99 cents. They had some of the gliders on clearance for $0.99 too but passed on them. Ross also got in some of the Fennix wave.

Talked to my manager today about how the unreleased figures fall under the old DCPI rather than the new one and what can be done to change it. Essentially, stores either can't order or receive the Zyg/Deimos/Slone wave without there being an issue since they are still in the system as salvage items. Might be a big reason for the delay in receiving new product as the slowdown would be on the company to fix their system first so that the items can be fulfilled in inventory.

Figured as much. I assume these figures are sitting in a warehouse somewhere so hopefully Jazwares is trying to cut a deal with some to carry these.

What do you know about how Ross fits into the equation? Anything at all?

I have wondered if stores either sell or give inventory to Ross. I say that only because Ross has received store exclusives in the past. Wondering if that wave might end up at Ross instead of seeing a Target/Walmart release.

I don?t know how they fit, but around here Ross always has figures I never see at Target or Walmart. I really want Slone bad, hope she hits soon.

Ross (and TJ Maxx/Marshall's, Tuesday Morning, Burlington, etc.) tend to buy overruns of products either directly from the manufacturer or the big box stores themselves. So if a company orders too much, and can't sell it, they sell it off to recoup some of their money. That window tends to be 6-12 months depending on the product, but can be shorter or longer based on how many items are available.

The toy market is so volatile with the loss of a direct retailer like TRU that we've already seen products skip big box stores completely if a manufacturer needs to offload product. I don't know enough about Jazwares to know if they're in that scenario right now, but I have to imagine there's a lot of freight just sitting somewhere waiting to be distributed.

They've been in that boat before of offloading new product. Scratch showed up half-price at Ross, before making its way out full price at a big box store (Walmart, if memory serves). Fusion and Ghost Henchman popped up at Cracker Barrel first in the States. The first two or three Limited Edition figures showed up at a US wholesaler and Walmart in Canada. Who knows what will slip out where, with so much product now seemingly crying out for a retailer.
