Does "Unvaulted" mean it's a re-issue of an existing figure? That Purple Skull Trooper looks familiar; was he the one that came with the drone a few years ago?

It doesn't seem like it. They did have a Fortnite exclusive at SDCC 2019, but otherwise conventions haven't really been a thing with this toyline. All the reveals of new products come from leaks (trade shows, China factory, retailer websites) or the stuff just drops by surprise at retail.

Yup, Unvaulted releases, which are a new thing this year, are just reissues of past releases. It's using language from the game, where apparently there is an unvaulted mode where you can play with past weapons and items that were removed from the game.

You're also right that the Purple Skull Trooper was a figure that previously you could only buy with the first drone, which was really expensive (around $100 maybe, though some ended up at discounters). So, this seems like a good choice as an Unvaulted release.

Yeah, I agree with you there. Notwithstanding whether the drone was any good (I honestly don't know if it was a good price for a drone, or a good drone for the price), it was kind of an expensive gimmick for an action figure line, which I imagine priced a lot of people out of that figure. Plus, I can't help but wonder how many of those Skull Troopers were KIA when falling from one of those drones...

We are still trying to unearth the Fortnite master grade case from the sea of boxes we've received over the last few days. Shit is ridiculous in our backroom; it's never been this bad before and that includes Christmas and Black Friday. And we've already been told it's not going to let up anytime soon.

I really want that new 4 inch Doctor Slone for my Joe shelf. She looks like she'll fit right in with Cobra or Joe. Mothmando looks like it could fit in on the Cobra La shelf.

How come so busy? Seasonal combined with some kind of logistics unblocking?

Any rumblings about a Party Pack? Early in the year, you shared a planogram image of one (with Sludge and others). And going by the past two years, this was the week Party Packs dropped at Target. Curious whether we're getting another or if they pulled the plug on them. I guess we should know either way pretty soon.
