I've noticed that several of the new figures like Brutus are sporting swivel joints above their ankles in addition to the standard swivel-hinged ankle.

Does anyone have any info on the variant of the Toxic Trooper? I have a ton of the light color I got for $4.00 in the past. Checking Ross today, I found the darker color. Was this a running change? Are these fairly rare?

Toxic Trooper was a running change. Oddly enough, the darker colored version is supposedly the original release. I started noticing them back in December, but had only ever come across the lighter version in abundance.

This is correct. The lighter version more closely matches the game and would be the corrected version. And it's what has been on sale consistently since April 2019.

About a year ago, we heard that there had been a running change from the darker (bluer?) version. Seems like Jazwares shelved the first version before any made it to retail. And these must have been squirrelled away in a warehouse somewhere for a few years, before being released through Ross stores a few months ago.

The lighter version will presumably remain the most common one since it's been on sale in what would appear to be huge numbers for two years now. But as to how "rare" the darker version is remains to be seen, as there's no way to know how much stock of it there is.

I got shadow Henchman the other day, and renegade shadow is one of the cross sells on the card back.
