Currently the plot starts during WWII when suddenly the Sulak Empire from outer space invades and quickly conquers earth. The various figures represent Earth's resistance forces at different time periods from 1943 to 2257. It's pretty brilliant because Joy Toy can make a wide array of figure types with varying technological advances while serving a singular narrative.
