I just cancelled 4 sets from BBTS and ordered them from Lockertoys. I have only used Lockertoys once for the ZombieLab Kickstarter, so hoping this transaction goes smoothly.

Also, why and how is Lockertoys able to see these for so much cheaper? I paid $293 shipped ($23 for shipping) from them vs paying $430ish ($4 in shipping) from BBTS. I know BBTS marks up, but that’s just nuts.

No ill will towards BBTS, I order from them primarily and don’t mind a buck or two mark up for a figure as I would waste more than that in gas looking for them at the brick stores, but the prices between the two companies for Joy Toys is crazy.

Also...has anyone else ordered the Peon set? Still waiting on mine from BBTS. I was going to to order it from Lockertoys as well, but they don’t have that set.

LockerToys is based in Hong Kong, so you're getting truer pricing, more or less in line with prices on mainland China websites like Taobao.

BBTS seems to mark up JoyToy significantly. Maybe this is a policy decision as "import" products (even though all toys are imports from China). Or maybe it has something do do with the distributor relationships and/or the wholesale prices they are able to get. Regardless, they don't seem to be competitive on price or timeliness.

So, you can either buy from a Hong Kong retailer like LockerToys or mainland China-based retailers on AliExpress.

Andy Wong, who owns/runs/fronts Lock Toys says they have an official partnership with Joy Toy, where as the Ali Express sellers and BBTS are just resellers.


I can typically get most figures for cheaper on AliExpress than if I buy them from Locker Toys. It's just a matter of striking when the iron is hot with Ali Express. Typically 40% or bettter of a discount. Ali Express sellers change the base price up and down all of the time, so you just need to watch the prices. About $18 each is the sweet spot IMO.



Generally speaking, BBTS is almost always higher than any other seller it seems. I don't think I've every bought from them when it wasn't on discount or a BBTS exclusive.

It's not just BBTS, its all the US sellers that mark them up to cover the import costs. BBTS, Small Joe's, Big Boy Collectibles(the US Sellers I've purchased some JT figures from)all are about the same in pricing.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. I still love BBTS, but I think I will be using Lockertoys for Joytoys from here on out. They shipped my order yesterday and it says it’s expected here by Friday, so if that’s true, that’s amazing.

The only outlier is the SUV. It’s $154 shipped from Locker toys and when it comes in at BBTS it’s only $130 shipped. Still might order it and pay the extra 20 just to get it quicker.

Second that, I've ordered from lockertoys but many times it pays off from AliX. It depends of the timing, coupons etc.. They do change the price now and then and they also match prices if you contact them. I have done this before. I also try to keep the price around €15 or below. The AliX sellers normally ship the figures a few days earlier when compared to lockertoys. I cannot complain about customer support either since in one of these last sets the helmets were to small and they had to ship new ones. The question is would they do it if I didn't contact them? I know lockertoys was a bit more proactive on that end and have also helped with broken or damaged articulation.

I purchased the orange set from JTOY Figures.... off AliExpress. They sent me a message on 10/7 letting me know they expected to have the helmets in mid November, letting me know they would ship them. I was pleasantly surprised to get the notice.

I have to agree that AliExpress is the place to buy. They had their 11/11 sale recently and I was able to order the SUV for under $100 w/ free shipping. I think you can find it again for around that price if you keep an eye out.
I check the site every couple of days, especially when a new set I'm interested is coming out. Between the coupons that pop up and being able to get free shipping usually, it tends to be the best place to buy from.

Ye I got mine for 97€ shipped. You had more coupons in hand
