I may be alone in this, but I have stopped collecting Star Wars and GI Joe figures and have focused exclusively on the Joy Toy vehicles and figures. The ability for their figures to hold their weapons properly, the cool futuristic designs, army builder packs, cool vehicle design including the mechs and upcoming Crazy Armed SUV, and most importantly a reliable and a relatively cheap distributor with fast shipping in Locker Toys has made the decision a no-brainer for me.
Before switching over completely to Joy Toy, I was overpaying for Modern joes for figures I wasn't crazy about (10 different Snake Eyes, Storm Shadows, and Fireflies) and buying up old Chap Mei vehicles to try and customize. My collection really didn't have any direction and I was forcing myself to justify having every version of a certain figure just to keep collecting, but it became a real expensive slog. I paid almost $100 for an ultimate Storm Shadow and realized that it was getting out of hand. |

I understand what you are saying. On my side once Gi Joe was placed on the freezer I started buying other stuff to include it with Joes. Nowadays I've been buying JT mostly and I even passed on this wave of Gi Joe figures. I still love some of the Joe figures I have but probably wouldn't have bought some of them if JT was on the market years back. Now JT is joining Gi Joe ranks but who knows until when. When I move I suspect I will put a bunch of Joe figures for sale.

I've been buying a lot more of the JT figures and Mechs. In my little universe the JT figures are commandos seving under Omega-Red in a coup to create a new Soviet Union. I'm liking the squad purchase option to fill out ranks quickly. They're shaping up to be a good army to counter The likes SHIELD and GI Joe.

I finally caved in and got some more women for my Joe-verse.
Had my buddy order them during the Amazon Prime sale and with coupons.

Locker Toys just posted on Facebook that the Crazy reload SUV will be coming in next week and will be shipping out the week after. I pre-ordered 6 of them and have been waiting for these to drop for almost a year now. A few months ago it was completely redesigned to look more like a MARV with a completely new gun turret a figure can sit in. Pics from a recent convention also shows that it will be released in "sand" too at some point.

They were “Front Paged” that day listed under Other Collectibles.

They changed the helmets on the blue marines. I suspected they would do it. Lots of people telling them to use other helmets. They even removed the photo of the post after some days. These look much better.
