That is a fair criticism, and something I noticed when my Marines 5-pack arrived earlier this month.
Their construction at the waist is overall pretty weird. I have to say though, that they are otherwise pretty darn serviceable figures. The heads are basically Joe compatible too, which is nice. The neck is ball/socket connected at both ends (a barbell goes into the head from one end of the neck and another barbell goes into the torso inside the "shirt" at the other end of the neck), which allows some extra movement, the wrists are hinged, and the toes are also hinged. All in all, I like them for basic military good guy fodder for the Joes to save when Cobra overwhelms them.

Can you elaborate on "pretty weird"? Japanese 6" lines like MAFEX and SH Figuarts have fully covered crotch areas, but they can still articulate because the hips have an extra joint that allows the legs to drop down and clear the "diaper". If these figures use that method, that would be fine with me.

I see a lot of criticism regarding these figures and I don't understand them. They may not be perfect but at least I see some improvements as they move along. Plus they are giving us new figures almost every 2 months.
I own 5 of their figures, the 3 members of the Russian Wolf team, 2 of the Detective blade figures and now I just pre-ordered 2 SWAT from AliX and the Cavalry Regiment team from LockerT Yes the Wolf team had some flaws. The fact you had to glue lots of parts and the helmets being hard cast and not fitting tight on the heads were the main issues for me. But with the Blade figure I saw a lot of improvements there in terms of materials. I think this was one of the main flaws because sculpt wise they are pretty good. Can't wait to have these new ones in hands to make a proper judgment.

I'm going to place Blade in a car. That should say enough. Maybe they won't make a perfect 90ยบ angle but its close enough. The crotch in blade at least is soft plastic so you can force it a bit.

Using the waist articulation you can cheat that to around 70 degrees. Not great. This is the one standout problem with these figures in my opinion. You could probably carve out an arch and get the range of motion you are accustomed to, but since the waist is hollow you'll be staring at the t-bar if you do that. You could try it but I'd be very conservative in the cutting.

Well I wasn't referring to your critics in particular. Yours were just adding up but I remember some bad posts in this thread towards this line. One was the fact you had to glue stuff for example.
I agree the motion at the waist is not the best but the level of detail and sculpt on these sort of compensate the rest. That's my opinion at least. Not saying I wouldn't point out improvements if I could talk to them, but as far as I know no one from the company is here sadly. Mostly these are for the Chinese market I assume which is a bit of a shame. I think they could get better feedback if they went international, officially that is. I still remember getting dipper crotches from hasbro and they were by far much worse than these.
