For any of you who are curious what Force Link actually is from a technological standpoint, it looks like a sticker with some sort of indicator attached to it.
Either laser reflector, chip, pattern recognition it doesn't matter. Each individual sticker is super cheap, but the system must have cost millions to develop, which was shoved into the Force Link 5 poa price. I don't get it, who thought this was a good idea but whatever. -------------------------- Anyways, Star Wars Force Link 5 Poa packaging failed our smell test when wet a few times, which is hilarious. The new Hasbro cards are not that resistant to water, so we have an entire room of smelly 5 Poa packaged figures for testing. Some of the Rose Tico figures we tested had vampire white colored ears, and necks, which amused our interns as they realized Hasbro paid to paint all of the figures faces a human pink flesh tone instead of casting the head in human pink flesh tone, which is the simpler solution. |
