I received one of my figures (the other is on pre-order). The wrist hinges were frozen from excess paint and/or plastic. I cut them loose and all is well.
I don't like the feet at all, mostly because they are rocker ankles. The flesh paint areas are not the greatest, either (particularly the head). However, the rest of the figure seems quite serviceable and very sturdy. The legs have thigh swivels which I ordinarily hate, but unlike Marvel and SW black series figures that have thigh swivels, the hips on these actually allow forward/backward movement without having to rotate the thigh. Plus the thigh swivels are firm and don't gap when handling the legs. You can grab the leg and put it wherever you want it without having to swivel the thigh at all, and it doesn't feel like you're going to break anything in the process. EDIT: I pulled the coat aside and got a better look. It's not ball-hinged at all, it's a ball socket joint for the hips, which explains why it works so well. Sorry for the confusion. Bottom line: If you swap or repaint the heads, you'll probably be very pleased with these. If you hate rocker ankles then be prepared to cut these off and swap in donor feet. Everything else is pretty great as-is. I'll be buying the next wave in May if I can.

“Sorry for the delay, but we have answers! Amazon is currently the only place you can purchase any items from the new Assassin's Creed line. Right now, only four single core packs are available. Likely, in late May, two new single core packs will be out as will two new 2-packs.” I asked if those will only be on Amazon as well and they said “for now, but other retailers might pick them up in the near future”. Edit: I asked if there were more figures planned: “There is certainly more planned, but that's all we have at this point. We're super excited as well for what we hope will be a huge line for us ” Quote:

In other words, the ball hinge joint is aligned horizontally rather than at a 45 degree angle. The hip functionality on these is just like the shoulder functionality on all ME Marvel/Joe/SW figures. If you have any of the 1:18th Harry Potter figures for reference, that's how the hips on these are built, only bulkier. Bottom line: If you swap or repaint the heads, you'll probably be very pleased with these. If you hate rocker ankles then be prepared to cut these off and swap in donor feet. Everything else is pretty great as-is.

Happy to help, but I had to amend my review. The hips are ball socket, not ball-hinged. The rest stands as it was, but this technical detail needed to be corrected.

All but Ezio are now sold out with no estimate of when or if they will get them back in stock.
Ezio is listed as Temporarily Out of Stock so who knows when that one will ship. |

Well I hope this line does well (and remains in stock enough for me to get what I want from this wave and the next wave).
I have some news... I did some more exploring with the articulation at lunch and found that there is both a waist and mid-torso joint. The waist appears to be swivel only, the mid-torso is ball and socket like Joes/MU. The figures are also largely HACKS compatible. You heard that right. Female AC figures can use hands, feet, and whole arms from HACKS. The arm pins on HACKS are a bit thinner than those on the AC figures, so for a better gripping fit you may need to add some material to the shoulder socket of the AC figure to use HACKS arms. With that said, the one I tested a HACKS arm on fits and moves fine, it just pulls out easily. The female AC figures can use HACKS hands and feet as well, and they can use male HACKS neck barbells in their neck socket (AC male/female figures have the same size neck socket whereas HACKS female neck sockets are smaller than HACKS male neck sockets). I don't know if female HACKS heads can use the male HACKS barbells or not, but assuming they can (or at least if you want to dremel the head out if needed) then you can use HACKS heads on the female AC figures. The male AC figures can use male HACKS heads as-is, and can also use HACKS hands. I didn't test the HACKS arms on the male AC figure yet, but I assume it either is a near-fit like the females or else might fit perfectly already. I haven't tested forearm, waist, torso, or leg swaps with anything so far. The knees are double-jointed in the MU style, so as long as the normal knee compatibility checks pass these should be swappable with any other double-jointed knee line. Hip ball size will be the determining factor with those swaps, but I haven't tried any yet. I am assuming the forearms will also be HACKS style, but even if not then we have MTF, MU, and Joes to swap with. If there is anything you guys like about these figures' bodies at all, buy them while you can. They appear to be VERY useful for parts.

They're very much nicer figures than the UniMax ones, imho; which I was still very supportive of. I hope this Jazwares line thrives and they expand to more game licenses. I'd kill to get a Soul Reaver Raziel like this.
There are tightness differences between the sockets and the HACKS pegs could use a 1mm trimming to fit snugly in the AC sockets; but pop-n-swapping arm bits works right out of the package for both and neither seem harmed upon restoration. The hip balls look like they should swap nicely but I'll need to wait until Early Voting is done before I'll have time to heat/pop them to find out. The pegs for the AC double knees look thicker than the HACKS pegs. Altair's got rocker ankles so Evie and the Amazon whose name I done forget are likely the only easy foot-swap candidates. |

I second this statement. Right now you cannot go and order anything for immediate shipping. There is only one item that will let you order (Ezio) and they don't even know when he will be available. The other three are sold out with no info if they will restock.
