For years I have wondered about the Seaquest DSV Playmates line of unreleased prototypes displayed at Toy Fair 94. There were 3 vehicles that were displayed but never put into production. There was a sea truck (a single figure bubble cockpit with a truck bed), the Stinger (a single figure cockpit small high speed ship), and a transport vehicle (could hold 2 figures). I also heard there was a prototype of Dr. Westphalen, although I have never seen any evidence of this existing. Does anyone here know about or own these? I am trying to acquire each. Any help would be greatly appreciated. See link below and go to time 6:11 to see what I am talking about.

The truck is gorgeous. It is a shame the line did not sell well in retail or these vehicles would have been released in 1995. I think the vehicles could have really extended the line to at least another wave or two.

I had all of them, but I wasn't a fan and figured since the show was cancelled, I might as well throw them away. So I did.
Seriously, I had a friend who had a Playmates toyfair catalog and it showed all sorts of stuff Playmates never made, like Skeleton Warriors series 2 and some Robotech repaints that never got produced. I don't recall any Dr. Westphalen figure pictures, just the ones released. I don't recall seeing the 4 man craft, either, must not have been ready for the catalog. You can find a 1/32nd model of the truck. I wonder if it would fit a figure.
