Not many Joes around here and not even that many name brand knockoffs, so I must accept what I can get. Presenting to you, Puzzle Model US 101 Airborne figures. They come six to a case individually boxed. The inside bag has a bag of parts. Each figure (basically same with 2 head skin tones and different weapons) come with three head gear and three packs/webbing plus a rifle/rpg, pistol/submachine gun and a knife. No holsters.
The paint is weird as the upper thigh is camo and the gear is too, and some chests. A set of 6 was about $12 (eBay has them slightly more). Not a bad deal due to all the bits, and the figure is pretty ok (terrible hands tho). I can see it being useful for mods for sure. Last edited by Bubbavader; 07-02-2018 at 04:34 AM.. |

I'll take some side by side shots later. They seem to be the same.

They're KO's of Tieka Toys Our War super articulated 101st Airborne figures from a few years ago. Replace the heads and the oversized guns and you have some decent modern Army figures.

Those seem a bit nicer, although only one figure has a holster. These have none, and no ankle rocker afaict.

Yeah, these are like Tieka’s factory leftovers or something. Those toys were pretty lame. The QC was terrible and even the good figures were marginal compared to GI Joes. I would not buy this.

Excellent find! Under no circumstances would i ever knock a fully articulated (i.e. a minimum of ARAH GI Joe level articulation) 1/18th action figure with removable accessories and weapons for less than $3 USD. If i found these in a dollar store for $2 to $3 per i'd buy them on sight.
I'm comparing them to 1/18th figures currently on the market that are relatively easy to find. Power Team Elite / World Peace Keepers- superior articulation but not aesthetically as nice Lanard Corps- - The NEW corps figures which arent widely available yet blow these out of the water but the OLD t -crotch figures are inferior Chap Mei- better sculpting (?) but inferior due to a lack of articulation Elite Force- great sculpting but t crotch hips Those are the only military toy lines that i can think of that are "widely available" . All of the above lines are about the same price or more per figure compared to these "Puzzle Soldiers". The construction design makes them look like oversized Mega Construx figures. I support that 100% due to ease of disassembly. Again excellent find. Last edited by Plasticfan; 01-05-2018 at 08:40 AM.. |

Did you get these from the listing on Aliexpress?
I don't know the story behind this product, but believe me, the toy market in China is AWFUL because of how difficult it is to protect IP there. It would not surprise me if it was a knockoff or a local city using politics to force an illegal license rip off. |
