You read the toyline's set-up and you look at the figures we've gotten so far and you wonder why this line is supposed to be about astronauts settling 'Planet Green Valley' when everybody looks like they're soldiers from 'Planet Brown Earth'. I'm tired of 18th scale re-treading the same ground over and over and over again, no matter how well done.

Some of the PGV Girls are back in stock at the time of this writing at BBTS. Probably due to the "arriving soon" notification email followed by lean X-Mas wallets cancelling... ;-)
Get them while they're hot! Can't wait to add more to the collection! . Last edited by Steel Brigade; 12-12-2023 at 06:24 PM.. |

I see they have added some new faces to the roster, at least they appear to look good in the photos. I picked up a few at AliExpress from Ailinna Toys Store with free shipping.

Pardon a bit of idle geeking out...
In anticipation of the arrival of my latest PGV order (a Kelly from the new collection), I dug out the ones I already own and I remain blown away by how great these things are. A few notes before I continue: 1) While I've never spent more than $50/figure, shipping included, I am sincerely embarrassed by how much I've paid for these figures. It's silly. 2) I haven't bought any of the male or robot figures. Only the ladies. 3) I'm much more a customizer than a collector. 4) I love my Marauder, BFS, Eagle Force, and Chicken Fried. (I'm pretty cold on Joy Toy and have no experience with Hiya or Acid Rain.) With all that said, PGV figures are the highest quality figures I own by a surprisingly large margin. I just don't know that someone who hasn't handled one can appreciate how good they are. The sculpts are highly detailed, perfectly proportioned, and flow brilliantly, with clean, natural lines. The articulation is more or less what you'd expect from a premium 1/18 figures these days, but there's no stiffness, no binding or buckling where joints don't quite align right (looking at you, BFS knees), no obvious concessions to design versus range of motion. It's a pleasure to sit around and pose these things. They move the way they're meant to move, hold their positions, and even balance stably in most (sensible) positions without a stand. The accessories look great, interact well with the figures, and offer lots of customization options. And speaking of customization, the figure parts all fit together firmly and snugly, but separate with minimal force. Just a marvel of engineering. Can't wait for Kelly to arrive and hoping I can resist the urge to buy 8 more while they're still available.

I've been telling myself for a while that eventually I'm going to get at least one of the ladies from this series. Hopefully it's not too scandalous to admit I'm more interested in the female figures, but the males and robots do look pretty damn amazing as well.
