Whar Astronauts, WHAR?
These look very nice, but not a substantively different from what JoyToy has already been giving us. And for naming the line after a Green Valley he doesn't seem to like the color itself much. |

I wish this stuff was easier to obtain and obviously wish it had a lower price point - I would be snagging a ton of these!

I still have a Virginie tucked away. I took it out of the package briefly, and I can't speak to the quality or sturdiness of Joytoy figs, but this thing is probably the single best 1:18 figure I've ever manipulated, from sculpt, to posing, to construction, to everything. I have no use for it, because I'll probably never have enough GVP figures to justify keeping it, but it's such a nice example of craftmanship, I can't bring myself to sell it, even at the enormous prices it goes for.

PGV figures blend well enough into other lines. I have a whole girl squad of PGV and JoyToy figs that look great together. You can blur the lines a bit by swapping gear. Which reminds me I need to get back to making effect parts because they're supposed to be a special forces unit of Combat Witches.
If he starts distributing thru normal channels, I'd be happy buy to give him my money. However, I'm not interested in playing email tag for the rare opportunity to buy whatever might be in stock. |

I was sympathetic to him early on a creative designer clearly grappling with the business side of running a toyline and struggling with the inevitable China factory issues. But c'mon now. You're able to get high-quality figures through production. You're able to set up fancy booths at Chinese toy shows. But you can't even set up the bare minimum of professional distribution? Add a shop to your existing website. Sign up with a distributor. Partner up with an actual toy company. It's not rocket science, the solutions are there. The hard part is meant to be concepts, design and production. Wake me when you get serious about running this like a business. |

I hope they carry future waves. But then they had the inevitable early production China factory issues, and it took years to fulfil those initial orders. And after that (or maybe concurrently, I can't remember), the creator just started dribbling out new releases via informal China channels or by contacting him directly. |
