While hitting Marshall's and TJ Maxx looking for Joe 5 packs I noticed they had some of the movie Star Trek figures. I'm not a big Trek fan so I'm not sure who they had but I believe they were $4.99 each. Walmart has the Star Trek figures for $4.99 too (not sure if this is a sale or a price drop though)

I think it was a straight price drop, and a good one at that. They're taking up shelf space at my walmart. How are these figures? They look nice, but how's the articulation, quality, etc?

That's what happens when you let Playmates make your toys for you

The t-crotch is the single worst idea in action figure history. I think all of us as GI Joe fans (the brand that eliminated this awful option) can agree.

The t-crotch isn't that bad on Forces of Valor and Elite Force. In fact it work very well for the look of those figures.
but it looks way too strange for the Star Trek Figures

Yeah its OKAY for the FOV/Elite force/21st etc. I still really like the Joe style much more though.
And I saw some star trek AND terminator stuff at a local ROSS yesterday. Sheesh.

Pure evidence that a hit movie like Star Trek does not translate to sales in the toy aisle.
They even had TV commercials to support the toys... didn't help. |
