Is that picture a reflection of the final design? Meaning, is that the final paint job? I'd love to see these in full color.

No, those are unpainted prototypes from what I can tell. The hair on the females is white because it's a separate, softer piece.

I am curious to see what kind of paint detail they'll have, though. Too little and the fact that they're zombies doesn't come through. Too much and they're too expensive. I'm not sure a sweet spot even exists. They very well might look too clean or be too expensive by necessity.

Don't get me wrong here, because I think these things look great. But I also think the MTF, and Hacks stuff looks great. It's just that it's all so similar to G.I. Joe, they might as well be one and the same. That could never be said before. Sure we had Corps and Remco stuff, but it was always inferior to G.I. Joe, not equal or even superior. Part of me is almost hoping that when Hasbro does put another push behind G.I. Joe, that they really change up the figures to set them apart again and start a whole new phase for the line.

Depending on the paint scheme, I will probably invest in this Kickstarter just to utilize certain pieces for Marauder/Joe customs. For example, from what I've seen of the drawings, the real Zombie aspect of the figures is seen in the head and hands, which can be replaced to make civilian characters.

They're going to have civilian, non-zombie characters in this line. That's why there are un-zombified body parts to begin with.

my problem has always been that about every zombie custom i ever see uis sort of ruined by being covered in crappy blood paint. personally i hope these zombies arent all over painted so that all the detail is lost to fake grime.
