Eh, an android manufactured by the company in question after a couple generations of executive turnover isn't really somebody that can be taken as an objective source; imho. 'They were always twitchy' could simply be corporate legal ass-covering programmed into the following android generations to assuage end-customer fears about the deliberately-malevolent motivations the company programmed into the Ash series to maximize the chances of retrieving a xeno.
There's lots of No-Prizing to be done for this jumbled-ass universe, lol. |

There's lots of No-Prizing to be done for this jumbled-ass universe, lol. So we the fans either Take it ALL and create our own understanding or piecemeal pick. Personally I think the path with Dark Horse comics is a Great add to the Universe. At least They have gave fans what they wanted over the decades and put more thought (sometimes) into the whole franchise. |

Has anyone on here read any of the Alien novels? I'm on River of Pain right now and I'm really loving this series. I've also got 7 Aliens and 1 Queen on preorder from BBTS. Hoping they come in soon.

I read the William Gibson script for AlienIII and very much enjoyed that. Does that count?

I plan on getting to the Alien 3 script. Looking forward to it. Hick's is related to Kyle Reese? That's actually pretty cool. I like the idea of Terminators, Aliens, and Predators all being in the same universe.

Don't forget Escape from New York/LA, Blade Runner, and Soldier.
The text below is all copied from another fan page: The Aliens Legacy :: View topic - Kurt Russell's "Soldier" trained with USCM?? First cool thing I found was his Service Record- all his commendations are based off his previous characters. But then I looked up and saw: Ordnance Levels 3008 USCM Smartgun As that "combat log" fades out (to show Todd sitting on his rack) if you watch very carefully, juuuuust before it completely fades out, in his ordnance levels box it says M41A Pulse Rifle! There's also a pile of other 'odd' weaponry he's been trained with- including the Laser-Bolo (from the original 1970s Battlestar Galatica), the MKVI BFG (from Doom) and the Illudium PU36 Explosive Space Modulator (As threatened to be used on Bugs Bunny by Marvin The Martian!) Also note the Awards/Medals are from movies Kurt starred in: The battles of Tannhauser Gate and Shoulder of Orion (references to Blade Runner) - Receipt of the "Plissken Medal" (reference to Escape from New York and its sequel Escape from L.A.). Receipt of the "O'Neil Ring Award" (reference to Stargate) - Receipt of the "Cash Medal of Honor" (reference to Tango & Cash) Receipt of the "Maccready Cross" (reference to The Thing) - Receipt of the "Capt Ron Trophy" (reference to Captain Ron) - Receipt of the "McCaffrey Fire Award" (reference to Backdraft) - Receipt of the "Dexter Riley Award" (reference to The Strongest Man in the World, Now You See Him, Now You Don't, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes) - Citations for the Nibian Moons Campaign, the Antares Maelstrom War and the War Of Perdition's Flames, locations referred to in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. So, as I mentioned in another thread, I am a action figure junkie. I haven’t scored in a while, so I went out to some comic shops today in search of a fix. I have a ton of stuff preordered from BBTS. I am a huge fan of Hiya. I know they have gotten a bad rap because elf the first wave of Marines and Xeno.
I agree that the first wave was not the best. The Xenos were the the worst of the group; very fragile, but the QC went way up when they put out the predator line. I preordered most of the Xeno and Predators, minus the cloaked Preds and the battle damaged Xenos. Because I am in need of a plastic fix, I picked up one of the battle damaged Xenos. It. Is. Fantastic. The joints are smooth and hold where you want them to hold. The jaw is articulated! The inner jaw jets in and out! I’m impressed. I will probably go back for the head shot xeno. |

I picked up the AVP Xeno warrior and it is excellent! I did make it pop a bit more by doing some silver dry brushing on some of his exoskeleton and tail, but otherwise another great figure!
As I mentioned above, they have created a new body for the Xenos and it’s fixed the fragility and articulation issues the first series had. The are scaled more accurately as well. The hip joints are a huge improvement; they kinda have two settings so you can have him stand very talk or adjust them for more poses. |
