I use the old castle sets. They featured a more modular design so you can design the castle layout to your needs (assuming you have enough parts).

I bought a few weeks the shuttle and the launching tower with rocket. As I don't have space for it I still have them boxed.
The shuttle cockpit will have to be nodded to make room for the legs. But in term of height from my initial tests I think Joes fit fine.

I used the rocket set in my Cobra Mountain playset:

I have been using Playmobil accessories for years. I own 2 King's castles from the 90's. The better snap together castle. Its good to use for inside secret base walls. I bought loads of office sets for the computers,desks, chairs, keyboards and phones. Fire fighters sets for the bunk beds. I even bought a Playmobil train set a year ago to use with my joes, but now don't have the space to keep it set up.
