So going forward, we should just be able to boil and pop arms off all new MTF figures? That's FANTASTIC!

I do have one disappointment so far, and it's that they have the same issue as the older WWII bodies in that the webgears are a very tight fit (especially on the German), which causes the thin material around the modular sockets to get stretched, which causes modular parts to fall out easily. Superglue is pretty much required, and maybe shaving/filing down the modular pegs to be a bit shorter. That could be considered more of a failing of the gear than the figure, though.

Yes, I'm aware, but on most of the modern-style figures it's not usually required just for the sake of attaching them for basic display. It's pretty much a requisite on the WWII figures. And even then, the fit is so tight and the sockets stretched so thin that they can still pop off occasionally. It's not a huge deal once you're settled on a loadout, but it can be a bit frustrating if you're still experimenting or uncommitted.

Yeah, the ability to pop arms is fantastic and I'm looking forward to the new options it will bring.
And the new articulation is great! Just be careful, as has been discussed, to properly heat the joints to break them in as they'll be very stiff out-of-the-box (especially the calf swivels).

so i a horrible and getting pics on HissTank - but I dug into the WWII German today. You cannot crack the torso because it is solid! You just heat and pop the arms out
here is my FB post https://www.facebook.com/slaymakerss...eric&ref=notif Here is one of the pics - I hope I can get to work - since it's on FB the url will not work eventually. I added boss fight arms to see how they worked and they fit great! ![]() also note - the new VALs are the same - heat and the arms will pop out. NEW VALS were available at JoeFest last year... Any chance of older figures being updated to this new standard? Not that they wouldn't all benefit from it, but this would make a lot of things easier for the contract and agency ops figures.

I am sure MJ will address this. I already told him how much I hope everything is retrofitted. If every torso has removable arms and neck - skin tone changes become super easy. No one needs to paint. And torsos with black painted necks can just have black necks - again less paint apps (sure its another part but less manipulating of product) Arm swaps allow skin tone changes way easier too...I want original arms with the ports swappable as I like adding things to the shoulders...for sure contract ops and agency ops can benefit from this as well. I assume if it happens it will be over time as next runs are set up tooling would be updated (like the recent val - though it could still get neck articulation added...)

Pop and swap arms would allow for web gear, jackets, etc. that don't need to open and close, too. Some stuff is maddening to get closed while on the figure.
Swappable necks would help with reducing giraffe neck and hunching, too. Would make cross-pollination between manufacturers easier...etc.
