If Hasbro dropped this AT THIS PRICE POINT... we would love it even MORE than we do now.
So far I have painted/ stickered up the patrol boat, ACR-135, Submarine ( is GLORY Son!) and the f-22 "Cobra Vulture". And love them all. They get a lot of play with the son, if one takes a spill or gets some battle damage OH WELL its not like I am trashing a minty vinty Whale. Like was said above if you put an appropriate color and real GI Joe stickers on them they are really passable mixed in with ME stuff. Does this thing come with a Vehicle to go in the old though? Edit: Dave, what bridge layer tank do you mean? Does true heroes have an FV4205 Chieftain like the old Joe one?

The True Heroes Bridge Battle set is freaking awesome...tons of play value and takes the iconic Toss 'n Cross we all know and love and adds some modern updates to it.
I plan to paint it OD green and have stickers from ToyHax (Cobrastickers) of the classic Bridgelayer on the way. When I get home I post pics with Tollbooth!!! Order here: Armored Vehicle with Launching Bridge - Toys R Us - Toys "R" Us

i find it amusing and hypocritical how some people are willing to pay $15 for a hasbro gi joe figure but start complaining about paying $50 for a massive vehicle like the hovercraft or C130. that makes no sense at all.

I'm not saying I won't get the hovercraft, but if I do, I want to get it on sale or with a coupon or something. I have a vintage WHALE, and while a modern update would be cool, I don't have to have one.

Just because its big doesn't mean that its worth the price. The Eaglehawk was about the same price, but was totally worth it because it was a G.I. Joe toy. True Heroes gets a lot of slack for stuff that Hasbro would never get away with. Nobody even mentions the figures that come with the TH vehicles, just because the vehicles are so cool. But there was nonstop bitching about the Night Fox figure that came with the Ninja Combat Cruiser.

Yeah, I think a lot of it has to do with expectations. Hasbro sort of did it to themselves, so-to-speak. They set the bar for articulation and detail, and that's part of the reason that I love GI Joe. So when they made a figure like the night fox for the combat cruiser, it was a disappointment, because we knew Hasbro could do so much better. But with TH stuff, the quality isn't normally there. Those figures have no place in my collection. And the concept of that hovercraft is awesome. I love the fact that you can push a button and the rotors soon and light up. But I despise those gimmicky rocket launchers. The aesthetics do not fit with the more (over-all) realistic and more detailed vehicles and figures of my GI Joe collection.

I saw it today as well. If it were less than $50, I might've gotten it. It's a neat set, but I just don't like the guns and missiles. There's have to be some re-working, and I just don't know that I'm up to it, especially at a $50 price point where I'll have to find something to replace those launchers.
