That looks pretty bad ass. I might see about getting it. This might be the new Whale. See Hasbro someone is looking out for the Joe fans.

Or maybe I'm now wrong about that and the fandom has changed, but I do think we give these third party efforts a pass (even at $50.00), while we criticize the living fuck out of Hasbro. I guess we tend to hold them to a higher standard, which is unfair because it's often some mythical standard culled from our childhood experiences. And besides that, times have changed, it's probably almost impossible to exactly reproduce the toys we loved so much (thanks to cost and safety standards), yet we tend to take the piss out of Hasbro at every opportunity and then praise this Elite Hero stuff like it was the second coming of the WHALE. |

I find it funny, and odd, that we all think this True Heroes/Chap Mei stuff is so awesome, but if it were produced by Hasbro and called the WHALE, there would be a very vocal group of people deriding it as overpriced cheap junk and another example of how HASBLOW is killing the brand. This isn't directed at you, GI C, it's just an observation about this fandom.

It's all good. The reason I said that was I highly doubt Hasbro will ever redo the Whale in some form. you observation is valid. |

If I buy it...
No cannons, no missiles, no tanks (I hope 2 A.W.E. Strikers fit there), 2 hasbro (25th) or "Phantro's (from Hisstank)" customized Browning 50 cal. machine guns instead of the oversized cannons. Then I'd paint it all flat black or dark blue. It'd be painted also with 2 or 3 versions of grey with geometric zones.

If it can fit a Mauler, or at least a Mobat, then it's time to break out the OD spray paint.

Then even if True Heroes releases a vehicle for which there is a direct Joe analog, they're readily available year round, right down the street, so it's occasionally tempting to pick one up to supplement the superior Joe stuff. |
