I also find that for the main vest (not the armor or the suspenders, just the full-body vest) I end up trimming the pegs down a bit on the gear that goes into it. If I don't, there are often problems with the pegs hitting the figure's body when the vest is put on. That makes for an overly-tight fit for the vest when the parts are glued in place, or a maddening experience as your pouches pop off at random for seemingly no reason when they aren't glued in place. There IS a reason they pop off, and it's the peg length!

Flint's urban assault team is taking shape...
I just need some night vision goggles for the helmet attachment points, then into the old "night ops" Black Hawk they will go!

I don't think I've seen anyone do Captain Scarlet yet.

Not an unusually special figure configuration, but I thought the staging turned out nice.
Out of curiosity, what would you guys recommend as an adhesive for attaching the figure parts into place non-permanently? I don't want to superglue the parts into place permanently, since new parts and variations are always on the agenda, and I want to be able to remove parts and revise a figure once new parts are released. MJ suggested hot glue, but I found that this didn't bond to the plastic at all (and I bought a hot glue gun just to find that out -____- ). I tried nail polish (which is good for non-permanently attaching modular weapon parts and tightening loose part fits), but this didn't have enough "stick" to last very long. I'd like to try something that has enough grip to where the parts won't fall off with play, but isn't so strong as to possibly damage the figure/parts should I attempt to remove the parts later. |
