If you could bring back ANY/ALL 80's toys. What would you bring back?
Of course G.I. JOE/Transformers/Thundercats are excluded. The other day I went to my local Walmart trolling for toys/action figures & came to the conclusion that a lot of todays toys just plain old suck! A few things stick out or even shine. But most of the toy-lines are just awful.

Centurions were super cool. Good articulation and detail for the 12" mold, and the modular weapons were cool. Best of all, all the characters had their own story and specialty. That's what draws me to GI Joe as well.

Captain power, loved them as a kid..didnt get many as a kid,but the handful I did,I loved! They where really neat! I loved the robotic bird guy,and tracked feet guy too...
Matchbox robotech figures! I had most of the single carded figures..they where cheaper then joes, and still really cool! Those imitation gijoes that where everywhere back in the 80's..they where built just like joes, and parts where interchangeable with joes. A similar line would be great fodder for today's figires imo.

Well excluding Gi,Tf,TC,tmnt, motu, i wasn't very fond of too many other lines but if had to choose i guess i would go with maybe Visionaries or Centurions. But i doubt that i would buy much of either.

When I walk down the toy isle it looks like 80's toys already made a comeback.

I liked Sectaurs, but those big spiders were just creepy as hell. Galaxy Rangers deserved some better figures than they got too. But probably the number one line that I'd like to see come back is C.O.P.S.

-Inhumanoids. Make the figures 3 3/4" and ME Joe compatible. Keep the big monsters the same size.
-Sectaurs. I had practically the whole line minus the Hive and one of the figures with the small insects...Mantor maybe. Great line, a lot of fun. -Crystar. I'd like to see them again but in 6" scale, super-posable. -Manglors. The packaging artwork was the best thing about these guys. And the giant egg. Instead of that crappy gimmick of making them out of that sticky rubber/foam/whatever that never held them together again after ripping them apart, just make some really nice 6" super-posable figures with interchangeable joints like the MOTUC Modulok. I've had some 6" customs of Manglord and Manglodemon on my work desk for a while now, eventually I'll finish them. -CHUCK NORRIS KARATE KOMMANDOS!!!!!! |
