Has anybody seen these toys? They're from Moose, the people behind the Trash Pack Trashies, something that's pretty apparent when you take a look at the sculpts (and even character concepts.)
My guess is the Ultimate Fighting Trashies concept was popular, as this is an evolution of that, namely that the Mutant Mania figures are wrestlers ala MUSCLE. There's also an unusual mix and match system, based around connecting body pieces to a rubbery ''spine'' to create your own characters, which is a neat way of dealing with duplicate figures I guess. I have to admit I wasn't massively taken with them (they look way better in pictures than they actually are in person) but I know the Trash Pack figures are popular and, given how awesome MUSCLE Men were, it could be another hit for Moose. I posted a review yesterday but here are a couple of pics, too, just to let you see what they're like.... That Figures: REVIEW: Mutant Mania Round 1 8-Figure Pack Anybody else picked them up yet?

He'll love these then. Just be sure to watch when he puts them together, as he may need help popping the spine into the feet/head parts. It's kind of fiddly.

I bought him the truck that goes along with them...looks like it has some rack that stretches them in order to build them. He's been asking for them since they came out. He has hundreds of Trash Pack guys (none duplicates)...he trades them with his friends at school. So this will just be another line of rubber poop he has to have. My daughter has a few of the grocery figures also by Moose (can't remember the name of them)

The 8-pack has one fully-assembled figure, one in parts and six that are partially-assembled, with the head and leg sections with the spine popped into them. That's the hard part, as the plastic pieces are actually pretty hard, not rubbery as you might expect.

Well, rubbery plastic doesn't last as long, so it's good they're hard to snap in, they'll last longer when snapped in.

The figures are actually pretty solid. The spines are REALLY rubbery though, as in they almost bend under their own weight rubbery.
