B, in the interview I posted in the link earlier in the thread he says that we will be doing adult collectibles and looks forward to working with other toy lines he loved as a kid, AND toys for kids also. 2:50-3:00 in the posted interview first post of the thread. Not sure if that was the same interview you were talking about or if there was another one out there.

From what I have read He will be working on multiple lines, very similar to what he has done at Mattel. I have also heard that they are building a team of managers with a plan in mind but no details yet to be released, So it is all up in the air and only a very few people know for sure what is going on. It is likely we will not hear anything new until NYTF in 2015.
Or he was one of the guys responsible for making MOTUC as successful as it has been. Without him, it could be ending. We know it is, in fact. The next year will probably finish off whatever he started. The brand is likely being re-named/re-branded (if it even continues) for 2016 and beyond. In 2016, you might want to prepare yourself for Imaginext Masters of the Universe. Unless the He-Man movie gets made, in which case you can expect a lot of kid-oriented product. |

I think this is an interesting rumor. There were rumors from SDCC about Hasbro creating a website to cater to and interact with collectors. Perhaps Scott was brought in to (help) create a HasbroCollector.com type site. Its product could be across several different Hasbro lines.

I don't think so. They just came up to us while we were at the Hasbro booth on preview night with an iPad and if we were interested signed us up on the spot and checked boxes for our favorite brands.

With regards to MotU I have nothing but reverence for Scott and all the he contributed for the line. I wasn't a huge fan of the vintage MotU figures but loved the characters and story line much to the credit of the mini comics more than the cartoon (though we did get some great characters from the cartoons). If you step back to see the forest for the trees and cut out the "I didn't get the guy I wanted so the line sucks" mentality of too many fellow collectors, MotU Classics is a staggeringly awesome collection both in scope, vision, and execution. The Classics line made me love He Man again, more so than when I was a child, and I can't wait to have children of my own to share this wonderful collection with. As far as the future of MotU Scott says in the interview that there is a blueprint for 2016, here's to hoping that Mattel carries on without Scott to push the line through. Time will tell. Any company or line that Scott ends up working with will enjoy some great product. I'm holding out hope for Joe!
