So, I was look through the new Agurts series, and was thinking, "Now, this is a solid looking series," and picked up a pair of the figures (The infantry soldier to be here soon and a pilot figure that is a pre-order. Who knows any thing about this series? Who else here is interested in this series? I thhink they look very cool and sleek. They might make for good customs. Anyone know the origin of the Figures? Are they a Movie or Video Game tie-in?

I got one in my "Pile-O-Loot" waiting for me to give the go-ahead to ship.
I'm contemplating getting one more but the thing I am waiting for is their Laurel that's supposed to be getting released sometime soon. Something about that design really got my attention.

There has been a lot of discussion of the Acid Rain on here, and some neat pictures and incorporation into various dioramas.
The pictures are interesting. The rifles look almost oversize, and the details are solid but not too overdone. |

I'm awaiting my first (infantry with the mini gun) to arrive. I hit ship 7 days ago and it's still in the warehouse. I'm excited, but they are a bit pricey, especially the vehicles. And they raised the price on the figures a few bucks since I placed my initial order. So we'll see how much I like them once I get one in hand.

I have one (Sol Commander). It's okay. The Acid Rain figures have a lot of great pluses, but they also have some aspects that pull them down.
On the positive tip, the articulation is pretty amazing...possibly the best out there at the moment, especially with that crazy neck movement. Plus, the paint jobs are fantastic as well, with all the realistic weathering and wear. And the figures themselves have cool overall designs that really tie into the apocalyptic theme of the line perfectly. The negatives, IMO? For $22+, the figures feel cheap as hell in some respects. For all the complaining that the 50th Joes get for their rubbery joints, I'd say that the Acid Rain figures are actually even worse in this regard. They certainly don't feel like a $22+ figure once you have them in-hand. Plus, while the character designs are cool, the sculpts are rather low on detail and fairly simple-looking; most of the detail comes from the paint. And the characters available so far are pretty generic- they all use the same body and just swap some gear. Like I said, pluses and minuses. Overall, they're okay, but they do make for some cool, faceless army-builders if that's your thing (and you can afford the price tag).

I had some of these preordered awhile back, but then the Marauders kickstarter happened, and those figures were more in the style that I collect, so I canceled my preorders and funneled my funds to MJ.
