https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...r-horsemen-stu So unless I'm missing something, I don't see any packages that will allow stretch goals to be added "after the fact?" That alone would likely kill this kickstarter for me. Add in the scale change and...yeah. I'm sure it'll be successful, and good for the folks that want them, but this is not really a good enough value for me, even above and beyond space concerns with picking up another 6" line. The Homages to the old DnD line are cool, though. |

ADD-ONS!! (Add-ons can ONLY be purchased along with a pre-existing pledge level - available for purchase with pledge levels $30 and higher - not available for purchase separately - please see pledge levels for item descriptions) In order to attach add-ons to your order, just calculate the amount you'll need to pay based on the combination of the cost of the add-on and the cost of your current pledge, and increase your existing pledge to that amount. For example... You've pledged $45 for a Clavian figure, and you want to add-on a Tibius figure for $33. Your total would then be $78. Then you'll just increase your pledge to that amount, and keep track of the names of the item(s) you've pledged for. Once the Mythic Legions Kickstarter campaign has wrapped up, we'll be sending Kickstarter surveys out to each member how pledged and in that survey you'll be asked if you purchased any add-ons and if so, which add-ons they were. After responding to that survey, your money will be collected and production on Mythic Legions will begin. If all goes as planned, we should be able to ship the finished figures out to customers by March of 2016. |

I only looked at it briefly last night, but I noticed they cover add-on purchases for backers at a $30+ pledge level, so I'm assuming any stretch goals unlocked will be added as an add-on to be sorted out by the post-KS pledge management app, ie Fundafull. With HACKS and Marauder, there were packages that increased in value (lesser price per figure) the more stretch goals were unlocked. Doesn't look like they have that option here. |

Looks like you just have to put your money in for the add-ons before the KS ends. That's what we wanted people to do on Marauder anyway, so that the pledge level would get higher and unlock more stretch goals before the KS closed.
Not every KS gives you free items as the stretch goals get unlocked. I don't know why they didn't include a package that has 1 of each figure though. Just to get 1 of each figure you have to buy the set of 16 and then add in the money yourself for the 6 army builders. |

After looking at the add on options, perhaps I can afford a few favorites.

Only thing I can think of is that maybe they'd take a powder on the shipping costs in that case, given the larger size of the product. Maybe we were spoiled by MTF and Vitruvian HACKS, but that also means they set a bar, and so far this Kickstarter isn't reaching it in my opinion. Still wish 'em well and still think the figure look cool, but it's not for me at this point, as tempting as a few of those figures are. Quote:

Honestly, I'm not sure how Marauder or Boss Fight managed that financially. I'm not sure if they did manage it financially. MTF's best case scenario was break-even -- and that was before the whole locked joints fiasco. I'm sure they're in the red until they are able to recoup losses via sales on the store. It remains to be seen whether Boss Fight has to dig into their own pockets to fulfill their KS obligations.
They were both taking a calculated risk with the strategy. The several hyndred dollar price put those tiers out of reach of most of their backers, but if all 1200+ MTF backers pledged at vice admiral, John would probably have had to cancel the project and issue refunds because it very easily could have cost twice as much as he raised. With a more expensive 6" toy line, that has to multiply the risk. And this isn't 4H's first rodeo. They probably didn't feel like they had to go to those lengths and take those risks. Their pricing structure seems to be fair and consistent, with the best value package being $32/figure and their add-on price being $33/figure. They're already past 33% in less than 24 hours, so it's pretty much guaranteed to go all the way. |

Out of $51,400 currently donated.
59 backer gave over 500 dollars per person for a total of $30,400. 158 backers gave under 500 dollars per person for total of $21,000 Slightly more than 1/4 of the backers gave 3/5 of the total donated amount. Wow, that's some dedication. Yeah, they started with a really low ball funding goal, it's gonna get funded no matter what. |
