Specifically for the waist on Marauder Task Force figures, take the torso and legs off and use a bench vise (or as close as you can come up with) to squeeze the waist section all by itself. Wrap it in a shop rag to avoid marring, then place it sideways in the vise (so you're squeezing it from the sides). Tighten the vise until there is enough splitting to finish up with a flathead screwdriver or similar.

I agree with Ax, the newer ones are harder to crack without damaging them (especially for the female waists).

Although, now you all have me a little nervous to give it a try. I think I'll just find some clothed Boss Fight waists to use. I'm not too worried about fitting MTF legs on a Boss Fight waist, as I can probably figure out a way to make that a tighter fit.

Just to make sure, can anyone confirm that all of Boss Fight's waists are compatible with the blank torsos? I would assume everything's uniform, like with Marauder, but I just want to make sure. Like maybe the Officer Zed zombie figure, or the Diego Umbrella Academy figure? Really just any Boss Fight pants waist.

There are four different waist/torso types now. Only the first ones work with the blanks without modification, at least in my experience.

Check out Vitruvian armory and pay attention to "torso type" for what is compatible with what. If it doesn't say, it's probably torso type 1 but I wouldn't swear to that.

Yeah, the first changes are years apart so it sucked, but it made sense. But then it seemed rapid for and now it?s hard to know what works with what, and they have parts that look the same but aren?t, like Zorro?s and the Singh pirates shirts. Very frustrating.

I think the move to v2 was to get rid of the exposed midriff on the females and to get rid of that weird two piece thing and go to a full thigh cut-such is better. There are adapters for v1 and v2 torsos, I don?t even recall what constitutes v3, but v4 is completely different-the torso ball is on the waist piece instead of the lower torso. And the female bodies are a bit wonky now
