Welcome to the board, Warchimedes! Thanks for sharing the pictures of your Speeder and Sol Commander. As already noted by Monte, your pictures are fantastic!

Which Joe figures do you think would go well with these Acid Rain sets? Particularly something that matches the deco and finish of Sol Commander.

In terms of sculpted detail and a menacing vibe, I suspect Pursuit of Cobra Beachhead is the best option (in my photo he has Big Bad Toy Store Spirit's webgear and Red Dog's head): Last edited by Monte Williams; 02-26-2014 at 11:10 AM.. |

There are no mass retail Joe figures with paint apps like the Acid Rain figures, and despite their staggering cost, the Collector Club figures have, if anything, even simpler paint apps than retail Joes.
In terms of sculpted detail and a menacing vibe, I suspect Pursuit of Cobra Beachhead is the best option (in my photo he has Big Bad Toy Store Spirit's webgear and Red Dog's head): I'll definitely get more Joe figs as soon as I learn how to do some custom weathering paintwork. |

It'll be interesting to see the custom, Joe parts-based figures that are done to go with these. More impressed with the paper accessories than the vehicle itself. That's a detail generally reserved for 1:6 scale.
Wish April would hurry and arrive, I've got accessory ideas for the Commander. |

Thanks for the kind words, and be sure to share your custom-weathered Joes once you take that leap!
