Did anybody ever pick up any of the blind-box Dungeons & Dragons figures from Wizards of the Coast? They produced about a dozen variant themes (each centered on a specific concept or, I think, campaign) over the course of about five years, right up until about 2008 or so I think.
I used to buy them a lot but only recently got them out of storage and, out of curiosity, I decided to do some research. Do you have any idea of the prices some of these figures fetch now? It's insane, like $60-70 for some of the rarer ones... It looks like I'm sitting on my own dragon hoard! EDIT: Sorry I re-read that and it sounds like a nya-nya-nya post. I just thought it wise to point out if anybody else has any and they're thinking about selling them, it's worth checking the prices before you do!

Even the smaller dragons come in at about $30, with stuff like the Aspect of Tiamat (and the other figures of that scale) hitting the $60-70 mark. What really surprised me though was the Gelatinous Cube - $70+ for a pretty small (albeit really cool) plastic cube. I guess it kind of shows in a roundabout way how uninspired the Kre-O selection of figures is...

I have the four large dragons, and probably a hundred or more of the others crammed in a storage tote.
I may need to revisit them.

Value aside, they're actually really very cool. I'd forgotten how good some of the sculpts were (although the less said about some of the earlier, smaller figures, the better...)

Yeah, I used to buy them when I played. About 4 months ago I checked feebay and saw the same thing you mentioned. My one buddy has every single one released. Was surprised because I thought the Star Wars ones would hold value longer.
