I recently moved and into a smaller apartment, so nor only am i struggling to decide what and where to display, i have frozen my collecting activity for a while. but...
i collect: Star Wars- just the vehicles from Eps. IV-VI Transformers- my main collecting focus Batman- Batman the Animated Series, or if Mattel releases a character i don't have yet (like Clock King or the newer Scarecrow). Helicopters- i get 1:18 for my Joes, but i collect die-cast/plastic helos in the 1:48 (or bigger) scale ExoSquad- at the moment just looking at the Robotech mecha from the line GI Joe- mainly aircraft these days Nerf- i like the N-Strike line and looking forward to getting the new Zombie blasters Toy and water guns other things aren't really part of a collection, just something i found "neato" and had to have.

Cool!
Interesting replies so far. Is there a separate 'other toys' buy/sell/trade portion of this board? I have a ton of those other things for sale, but for now I have just included them as separate lists within my GI Joe for sale thread linked in my signature. It sounds like there are a lot of other 80s toys enthusiasts.

My main focus over the years changed. Right now I'm mainly into Lego I would have to say. I'm always picking up things here and there that are cool like Nerf blasters, a Hot Wheel or Matchbox car, stuff related to Macross or Gunbuster. I have several Star Trek ships and look forward to some upcoming releases.
I'm pretty much done with Star Wars, but I do want the new Slave I that came out as my final item to round out my Star Wars collection. I think I'm done with Joe as well, but I'll pick up certain things like the Eaglehawk or a good figure. If I come across a US released MP transformer I would consider it. |
