Nope, these are just buyback liquidation stock that were leftover from the one year licensed property deal from walmart from 2019.
Several liquidations were done on the licensed lines after they met their one year obligation. Including Alien series 1, Jumanji, and Top Gun. As those Hasbro guys say......"Now You Know!" Somebody still hasn't figured out the difference between cost and value. You can make a product available all you like but the value has to exceed the cost to the customer. Fairness has nothing to do with it.
A play set's value may exceed it's $50 price tag, but not exceed the $70 cost when shipping is included. The play set features and quality just isn't that high. Meanwhile folks routinely pay $35/figure for JoyToy products because the toys are just that good. The value exceeds the cost. It's not just a Lanard issue, I recently passed on the 4 Horsemen's Krampus figure and generally ignore their in-stock sells because the shipping costs are so high that the costs exceed the value of the toy despite how much I enjoy their products. It's a fairly basic economic concept. |

Secondly the price..... Well up to now one of the few retailers that had been carrying The Rock Fortress was Smyths internationally UK pounds at 39.99 which is about 53.05 United States Dollars. And the Australian market its $99.00 which translates roughly into 70.00 USD so the ROCK itself is priced fair through Cotswold Collectibles. https://www.gijoeelite.com/rock-moun...118-scale.html Not much can be done about shipping costs on it, Although it is something that is being looked into to give fans more options, the only other alternative currently for this year would be attending the Lanard Warehouse Event in Sugar Creek. 101 S Sterling Ter Sugar Creek, MO 64054 2021 WAREHOUSE LIQUIDATION SALE INFO Begins: Friday, November 26, 2021 Ends: December 24, 2021 Hours: Wednesday-Saturday 9:00-4:00 Closed: Sunday-Tuesday SHOP EARLY AS INVENTORY THIS YEAR IS VERY LIMITED For more info on all CORPS! stop bringing up foreign markets. it's pretty clear none of us are over seas and/or willing to pay those prices to get those items here. the conversion rates making them more expensive there does not make it any more palatable because it happens to be a little less here.
just blame it on the shipping crisis again and we'll be on our way. |

First up, If you like JoyToy, that's fine, but that's not a toy, it's an adult collectible with parts that break quite easily. And one little JoyToy set is a fraction of the size of the Rock Fortress, (The Rock Fortress is a little over 2 feet tall). And is built for kids of all ages. The Rock Is meant for play and isn't going to break if it drops from a shelve * Example a small relative comes over and finds your display shelf and tips over your playset that JoyToy set is a goner. The Rock, as stated built for kids of ALL ages.

Not much can be done about shipping costs on it, Although it is something that is being looked into to give fans more options, the only other alternative currently for this year would be attending the Lanard Warehouse Event in Sugar Creek. Holy shit! Is it possible that adult collectors might prefer adult collectibles because their standards have grown over the decades? There's a reason the 3rd Party Transformer market is vastly larger than the official (or even knockoff) G1 Transformer Reissue market. What entertained us as children isn't going to entertain us as adults. It's why we demand better paint apps, articulation and sculpting. The JoyToy stuff might be more fragile when you don't know what you're doing and get excessively forceful with things. I've got 5 kits and zero breakages, but I don't go around acting like a moron when constructing the sets. I apply a little silicon based lube and wallerd out the holes to mitigate excessive friction. Most of us have things in our homes called furniture and decorations. Small children are destructive little fuckers, but fortunately we have methods to mitigate the ability of those little bastards knock over lamps or vases or commemorative Elvis plates. We can use those same methods to ensure the safety of our toys as well. 2nd up: "Fairly priced" has absolutely Jack and shit to do with anything. To make the sale the price of the good has to be below the customer's value of the good. The value is the amount of well being it brings the consumer. If the price is greater than the increase in well being then the sell just isn't going to happen. Unfortunately we're currently in a wierd state where plastic goods cost more, and the value of those goods is less than the price. If folks are already bitching about prices on individual toys and shipping costs, suggesting taking a vacation to the middle of the country is likely an infeasible alternative. Flying or driving to Missouri is going to far exceed any shipping costs. |

just blame it on the shipping crisis again and we'll be on our way. The rock is now available to order stateside. It's not anymore expensive here than its International retailers release. Cotswold Collectibles is based in Texas, and will ship anywhere, even with shipping its around the same costs its sold in foreign markets. That's the point. What it costs here is the same ball park as it's been outside the USA. But don't moan and groan over what's sold elsewhere when its brought and offered still priced fairly. Quote:
These are the sets I am referring to. They're not small and still cheaper in total price and way nicer. Even as a kid I'd be way happier with these than Lanard stuff. When I was a kid I hated the kinds of toys that are designed to be played roughly with. I thought they looked stupid. I don't know about you, but when I was a little kid I was careful not to break my GI Joe, Star Wars, and Transformers toys. I loved to play with them and didn't want to break them. If some maniac kid wants to play rough and break their toys that's on them.
$47.99 (+$4 shipping) $59.99 (+$4 shipping) This thread is about toys, not adult collectibles. Bujo..this is the corps megathreead, I mean if you don't like it, okay but these are toys meant for kids, fans, and collectors alike. Everyone needs to lighten up. And get into the Christmas spirit.
