That I’m not sure of. I do have a couple pieces with the old branding, I’ll check and see. I’m not sure how much thought they put into names or storyline back then looking at some of the goofy code names they had. My guess is they just wanted to get out a military line to capitalize on the popularity of Joe toys at the time.

I'll give it to Palitoy -- they had the coolest branding of them all with Action Force.

Bingo. Problem was that "Gung Ho" was successfully argued by Hasbro that consumers could misinterpret the branding as being a GI Joe item since Hasbro was still regularly selling (and promoting) a character named Gung Ho.

The brand was created in 1986. FYI in the UK the Corps were labeled under Adventure Man for several years. And sold right beside Action Force.**See Attachment

I would much rather be a bridesmaid than a bride. Unless the groom was a hottie with a ton of money and I wouldn't be expected to cling around.
