So your saying Lanard even bootlegs hollywood?

Interestingly, if you combine those two elements together and set the story in Los Angeles (circa 1997), you essentially have the plot to the movie "Future War". Even if, it must be said, the execution on that film left quite a lot to be desired. (Everything worked out well in the end, though, since "Future War" inspired an especially hilarious episode of "Mystery Science Theater 3000".)

Not at all, I know collectors buy products by lanard. Doesn't bother me that they do customs. Not at all.
The problem that adult collectors have are they think that every product is based on adult collectors and while other companies do niche sales, lanard continues to concentrate on what matters. Bringing Quality products to children. Do lanard products have adult collectors? Yes, but sales aren't hinged on that like other companies are. Quote:
the aliens line was the only thing lanard ever produced that i'd been impressed with that i could actually buy. too bad they decided to jump to a different scale.
the other thing is the gryphon. but both are not something im going to chase down, and shop at one teacher supply website on the internet or maybe a calendar pop up store or get someone else to buy it for me and ship it to me. nothing from lanard is worth that. |

Budo, I gave Australia as an option for a product that up till now has only had a limited domestic release. For the few adult collectors here who didn't want to wait till the domestic releases. And I'm explaining that Lanard doesn't use that artificial demand model that other companies have perpetuated. Lanard sales are solid, products are replenished, and sold through throughout the year, and kept replenished. It's a simple process that does have variety per retail partners.
Some stores want a single carded figure option, others duel or triple, others want gift sets. Same on vehicle assortment sets, they vary depending upon retailers. It is very different than say Mattel, Hasbro, Playmates, jazzwares or Spinmaster on how sets are offered. For more info on all CORPS! I’m surprised Lanard hasn’t been able to get any US retailers to stock the Corps in a while. I know Walmart just wants movie crap, but Dollar General used to carry 2 packs of figures and the occasional play set or vehicle. They always sold well. I know I bought a lot of them back in the days of chasing the DG Joes. I miss seeing Corps at retail, I’d buy them if I could get them locally. I’m glad they’re obtainable online, but it’s not worth it for me. Plus, I just like buying things in stores. Scanning the toy aisle is part of the fun.

Willie there is a new Dollar General right across the road from my house. I wish they had anything figure related. I would love to be able to jog over and get some Lanard Corps figures. Found my old Mirage today...such a cool figure.

Yeah, it’d be nice. The last couple years are probably the only ones I can ever remember not seeing Corps products on shelves. I think Walmart carried them consistently since I was a kid, and Dollar General had them for years. Maybe they’ll make a come back eventually.

That just shows how much Lanard cares for your well being. They purposefully reduce product availability to promote your own creative endeavors. Hasbro is following that model with GI Joe Classified.
