you still dont get it!
who in their RIGHT MIND would want to buy a toy line that's SUPPOSED to be at walmart, FROM THE UK. OR VISIT A EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE FOR TEACHERS? OR WAIT UNTIL TWO MONTHS OUT OF A YEAR FOR A POP UP STORE TO OPEN AND MAYBE CARRY THE TOY. good fucking lord. they're "available" in the same fucking fashion as a mcrib is. |

Actually I'm going to break this down, for those who were not aware.
And those who do, this post isn't for you, but AGAIN this Thread is to inform and Educate. it's not ALL suppose to be at walmart, Lanard deals with Multiple retail partners that order a Min order per requirements. Walmart only carried the Elite Assortment which is a fraction of what Lanard offered prior to the current reset assortment agreement, which will be explained AFTER Hong Kong Toyfair for 2021. Domestic retail has changed dramatically over the last 5 years. Not just for Lanard, but for Hasbro, Mattel, Playmates, Neca, Jazwares, Spinmaster and countless others. As the United States has lost several Key stores that did sell toys ( K-Mart, Toys R Us, KB TOYS,and several others) larger boxed items that are sold have to be ordered in large amounts to remain profitable for both the seller and buyer. Currently in Domestic Retail the two largest toy distribution retail outlets are Walmart and Target. and neither like carrying large bulk items year round. Which causes logistic issues as toy manufacturing is a year round process. let's use a Hasbro product for an example. Hasbro wants target to sell the millennium falcon to target q1 but target only wants to purchase X amount of units to divide to all it's stores in the USA, Hasbro needs the number to be higher to make "said" profit, so months before q1 both negotiate back and forth, and if they can't come to an agreement then you see a higher price tag at retail just so Hasbro can turn a profit, and so that target will continue to sell exclusives, which is not ideal, (I've read the classified fans trying to get target exclusive cobra island merch...it's not supply vs demand, it's how target orders their products, under-ordering causes ripples as well). Now let's get into Lanard, and this headache that I've tried to explain as it's been explained multiple times. The Gryphon, sky-strike, Rock, and several other large big box items have a MIN order that a retailer has to place to get these, and The largest Domestic partner ONLY wanted to carry movie cross sell items during a specific period, so Lanard offered several other domestic partners a non exclusive option (different carded 3 packs, exo mechs, coyote chargers, 2 packs, and some larger assortments including the sky-strike, gryphon, and Yes, the ROCK which was sold in 2 separate sets under it's beast strike assortment to have a slightly smaller box). Those partners were US TOY, Constructive Playthings, Amazon, Walmart dot com, Sam's Club (Which did offer the sky-Strike vs Komotto as a ultimate assault battle pack). Walmart and Lanard have a new agreement that went into effect for 2021 for more than just licensed "cross sell" products. So after Hong Kong Toyfair there will be assortment breakdown details of exactly what will be carried both through Walmart and the UNDISCLOSED 2021 Domestic Partnerships. Now about the UK, and Australia, the reason they get more is simple, THEY HAVE TOY STORES WITH SHELF SPACE!!!!!! so they can carry the larger items at the alloted time and min order requirements. WALT.
you continue to not get it. on one hand, you say "THIS STUFF IS MORE AVAILABLE THAN HASBRO!" and on the other you say "YOU HAVE TO SHOP AT THIS SPECIALTY STORE." "YOU HAVE TO BUY IT FROM THE UK" you cant have it both ways. a specialty store isnt mass retail. i cant imagine anyone in the world thinking "you know what, i want a corps figure. i'll go to an educational store that specializes in teachers as their major clientele to buy a military action figure." it's never how it worked. ever. it's hilarious to say "well, there's constructive playthings and it's sister store ustoy that had this" like websites, for educational supplies and then expect to know they even have a sister store (for whatever reason is beyond my understanding because it's the same thing) with the expectation that people who shop online as a major part of their hobby. you cant say, two of the same kind of store are not the same store. be it info from wikipedia or from the site itself. i mean really. if meijer carries anything, it doesnt ship outside of states that have a meijer. you cant say "it's still on clearance" when people's literal eyes and things in their hands in the checkout line with a cashier shrugging their shoulders are saying otherwise. "it's available in the uk." so what? you insist that lanard makes toys for children at price points for children to afford. so, with that expectation, to expect anyone else to pay shipping prices from the uk, or make special coordination's for purchasing them through a third party is down right absurd. little tommy in whocares, alabama with 10 bucks in his pocket is not going to go to smyths in the uk and order whatever the hell they have. he's going to walmart or target, and not both, after he begs his mom for a week. stop bringing that nonsense up. im not going out of my way to be negative. YOU are telling me, that I am wrong, given my own lifetime experience of collecting worthless toys trying my hardest to give a company like lanard (who in my only experience is only ever been at walmart) a shot with toylines like alien, before they screwed the pooch and in such a baffling manner went on to 7" figures. No, I'm saying its available period.
As for what's on clearance the 4 inch alien collection was clearanced out. That's fact it's up to each individual store on how they clearance merchandise. I get your confusion, my son collects multiple lines and he sees certain things online that are on clearance but are still not clearanced locally, again it's up to each store. Constructive Playthings and us toy have been selling lanard products since the early 2000's and I've been providing links on social media for YEARS to that. Not EVERYTHING is just Walmart, yes Walmart is the largest selling partner, but there's literally dozens in the United States, some only sell during the holidays, but at any given moment I can order virtually any lanard product in the world through Mrtoystoyworld or another retail partner via dot com. And by the way the us dollar is higher than the Australian, so you're buying about the same depending on your orders size. Now can you say that about Hasbro? Nope. I get that everyone wants a full variety locally, and in a perfect world that would be great, but No domestic retail partner can carry the full assortments of every company unless they expand the size of domestic retailers toy departments and start accepting large bulk items. Ar least Lanard teams up with various partners to get products out, and I have kept everyone informed. And your opinion on the alien and predator 7" is fine you're not a kid, and believe this. Aroun 80% of toy sales are from kids, you can factor in adults and collectors into the remaining percentage. As it fluctuates but the point is Lanard is out at retail with products at a competitive price point PERIOD! You'll see more domestic released corps! Products and Star Troopers after Hong Kong toyfair, those will be classic 3.75-4 inch scale. Future assortments for alien and predator may also include other scales, those are being considered. i didnt want to say "i searched for "constructive", "playthings", "constructive playthings" "ustoy" and "us toy" and "gryphon" on living the adventure dio's facebook and didnt find any links" because i know walt would refute me doing exactly that.
you're welcome to give it a shot, but you arent going to find anything unless you're a wizard. the gryphon however, only linked to uk stores. Last edited by THEDARKONE508; 01-14-2021 at 05:00 PM.. |

oh yeah, sams club.
it's available there. but you have to be a member to buy it, if they have it. or you can get a day pass and buy it, if they have it. so it's available at mass retail at sams club, two educational toy websites, pop up calendar stores if they pop up in your area, stores in the uk and austrailia, and a close out store in the north east us has it. i mean, it's not as crazy as it sounds. i promise. |
