Most have seen the Kre-o D&D stuff, before that they released the miniatures. So I'm hoping they'll eventually release a 1:18 line. I was wondering if people would support it. We got zombies, ninjas, cyborgs and androids from GI Joe why not port over the ones people say they don't need to another line?
I thought of this because of the Joes going in hiatus and other companies venturing on this scale as well. Would you guys support it? |

Would they be purely based on game designs or would it be a mix of classic AD&D, cartoon and game design work?
I mean would it purely be..unnamed cleric, unnamed thief, unnamed Paladin, or would it be Warduke, Strongheart, eric the knight???

I would pick and choose but I could see this line selling pretty well to RPGers.
Bring on Drizzt!

I was thinking that they go the same way as Joe and Marvel in general, going back and forth from the comics/books, cartoons & toys tributes.
But more likely they'll start off with primary characters from a re-introduced product. Or popular characters first, Drizzt and the like just like the Kre-o line. And then produce the lesser known ones for support and builders. |

With the Hobbit toys getting clearanced and the Tru Heroes Orcs vs. Elves sets not seeming to move much (as far as I can tell from my local toysrus) i don't see a D&D line doing much in the toy aisle. I love the hobbit figures and support the 4in line as much as I can- but I don't see a big market for 'fantasy' figures... I guess I would support it depending on how well built the figures are- the 4in Hobbit figures are fantastic- I've bought every one... the 4in mortal Kombat figures are garbage and I've not purchased even one... so it depends where on the quality meter they would fall between those two lines...

I think they'd require far more effort than Hasbro is willing to give.
They're half-assing the figure lines for major motion pictures, D&D figures would likely be on par with those horrific 5 POA SW figures they were showing at SDCC. |
